I'm a simple guy with simple needs I like to go to Greece at least once a year with my wife but what I don't like is feeling that I have been ripped off. I know the hotels and studios need to supplement their income but €6 a day for Aircon just doesn't seem fair to me.
Recently I have found a new scam the airports are pulling and from what I hear is common across the whole of Europe and not just Greece. The scam is simple you have a luggage allowance and for years the airports haven't really been too bothered with the weight on the return journey providing the excess is not ridiculous. I have heard from many friends and colleagues that they have been told their cases are over weight and that they must pay an excess payment or throw away something from their case. I have personal seen one poor woman charged £45 between 3 cases. I can see why she paid how do you tell your children they must leave behind their new beach toys. As she said to the unsympathetic attendant “thanks for ruing the last day of my holiday”. |
